Although supposedly of my mother, the young woman on the left, this collage is more about her mother, Gwendoline Maud, the woman in the centre right. The man to her left is Arthur Doel, the presumed father of my mother and her sisters, who are shown below them. So far as we know they never married, Gwendoline Maud having married Thomas Allen some years before and had a son, Reginald, by him. Gwendoline Maud's mother is pictured above her with someone we assume is her husband and father to Gwendoline Maude, though it could be another husband by the name of Manville. The woman to the right is Ruby, sister of Gwendoline Maud, and my mothers guardian after the early deaths of Gwendoline Maud and Arthur Doel. The three schollgirls at the bottom are Gwendoline Maud's three daughters. She died of TB a year or two after the third was born.

And the chap to the left of my mother is the man she claims is my father.
